ABOUT

Who we are

A specialist team in the Ribble Valley who design, install and look after the systems we put our name on. Two values, one process, and almost every job by recommendation.

FIG. 01 / THE WORKSHOP
01 Who we are

Founded on two values. We have not needed a third.

Ribble AV design, install and maintain audio visual and building automation systems from our workshop at Hawkshaw Farm, just outside Clayton-le-Dale. Homes come first, with bars, hotels and offices alongside.

The team is trained and accredited on every platform we specify, and the person who draws your system is the one who commissions it. No subcontractors, no handover between departments, no learning your house twice.

Almost all of our work arrives by word of mouth. That keeps us honest, and it is the only marketing we have ever needed.

VALUE 01

Honesty

We say what a thing costs, how long it takes and what it will not do. If a simpler approach suits the room better, we will tell you that as well.

VALUE 02

Standards

Every cable dressed, every rack labelled, every speaker set to the room it sits in. The parts you will never see are built as carefully as the parts you will.

02 Recognition

Best Commercial Integration Project, 2025.

The Smart Buildings Awards, for the Grand Hotel Belvedere in Wengen, Switzerland: a protected building, no new holes in any ceiling or wall, and music through every lounge, restaurant, bar and spa.

One entry, one trophy. The judges were shown a hotel where none of the technology announces itself, which is the only brief we ever really work to.

03 Accreditations

Trained by the people who make it.

We hold dealer accreditation with every platform we specify, which means factory training, certification kept current, and direct technical support when something unusual comes up. Nothing on this page is a badge we bought.

The programming is ours as well. We do not subcontract it, so a change to your system two years from now is a phone call to the person who wrote it rather than a ticket in someone else's queue.

04 Our process

The same six stages, every project.

Choosing a system is confusing, and quotes are hard to compare. Three questions sit behind most of them:

Q1Is it right for how we actually live? Q2What will it be like to use in five years? Q3How do I know this quote is the same as that one?

Our process is structured and brand-agnostic. We apply the same standards whatever the budget, and specify what suits the room rather than what suits us.

A call, then a visit. We want to know how you use the house, who else lives in it, and what has irritated you about technology before. Nothing is specified at this stage.

Proper drawings, a schedule of equipment and a fixed price. Room by room, position by position, so your architect, builder and electrician all work from the same sheet as us.

Cable before plaster. We mark out, run everything, label both ends and leave the other trades a clear route. This is the stage that decides how good the finish can be.

Racks are built and tested at the workshop, not on your floor. Every lead is measured, dressed and labelled before it leaves us, and the whole system runs for days before it is boxed.

Second fix, then calibration. Screens profiled, speakers aligned to the room, lighting scenes set with you there, at the time of day you will actually use them. Plaster made good behind us.

Remote monitoring, a named contact, and the people who installed it on the end of the phone. Most faults are dealt with before you have noticed them.

05 Off the tools

The work takes us further than the Ribble Valley.

Most weeks we are somewhere between Clitheroe and Manchester. Some months we are in the Alps with a van. Either way it is the same team, and the same standard of finish.
