Lutron hardware wired in is half a system. The other half is the design work: trim levels set per fitting, dimming curves matched to the load, scenes built around eight in the evening rather than noon.

Lutron was founded in 1961 by Joel Spira, who invented the solid-state dimmer in a spare room and then built a company around getting light to behave. The engineering culture has not really changed: the products are conservative, over-specified, and expected to be on the wall in twenty years.
The residential range now runs from Caseta at the domestic end through RadioRA 3 to HomeWorks QSX, which handles up to ten thousand zones, mixes wired and wireless on one platform, and unlocks Ketra full-spectrum fittings, Rania downlights and the metal keypad families.

RA2 Select, a smaller house
Eight to twenty-five thousand pounds. A single floor or a modest house, standard keypads, sensible circuit count. A genuine step up from wall dimmers.
RadioRA 3, a family house
Twenty-five to seventy thousand pounds. Twelve to twenty zones with engraved Sunnata keypads and wireless shading in a four-bedroom house.
HomeWorks QSX, flagship
Eighty thousand upwards. Palladiom keypads, wired shading, Ketra fittings and a hundred-plus zones. Keypad finishes and fitting count move this a long way.
