Home cinema and smart home installation in Cheshire
Large houses in Alderley Edge, Prestbury, Hale and Knutsford, and quieter work out across the plain to Chester. Under an hour from the workshop, with no travel charge.
Big footprints, glass elevations, and a gate at the end of the drive.
The Cheshire brief is usually scale rather than difficulty. Detached houses in Alderley Edge, Prestbury, Mottram St Andrew, Hale and Bowdon are large, often extended, and frequently gated, which means a system has to reach the annexe, the pool house, the garden office and the gatehouse as well as the main rooms. A single router in a hallway cupboard will not do it, so the network comes first and everything else hangs off it.
The other constant is glass. The big open-plan extension with sliding doors and a roof lantern is the room everybody lives in, and it is also acoustically hard, thermally difficult and impossible to black out without planning for it. Speakers have to work without a soft surface to help them, shading has to be wired in at first fix, and cooling belongs in the design rather than in a portable unit two summers later.
Further out, Knutsford, Nantwich, Tarporley and Chester bring Georgian townhouses, black-and-white timber-framed listed properties and sandstone farm buildings, and around Hale and Mobberley there is Green Belt to consider. Those jobs are retrofit, careful and slower, and they are usually run with an architect and a main contractor rather than direct.
Large detached and gated houses on the Edge and in Hale, Georgian townhouses in Knutsford and Chester, and family new builds across the plain.
A wired backbone that reaches the outbuildings, shading and cooling designed in early, and security integrated rather than bolted on.
Eight disciplines, all from the same team.
Most Cheshire projects use four or five of these at once. Nothing is subcontracted out, and the person who draws it is the person who commissions it.
Where we work in Cheshire.
From the Edge across to Chester. All of it is a comfortable drive from the workshop, which is why we can service what we install rather than posting a courier a part.
If your village is not listed, ring anyway. It almost certainly means we have simply not written it down yet.

We have not published a Cheshire project yet. Rather than imply otherwise, here are the closest equivalents — the same briefs, done nearby. We are happy to put you in touch with those clients.
The difference is what happens in year three.
Under an hour, both ways
Close enough to be at a site meeting in the morning and back for a commissioning visit in the afternoon, and to service what we install for years afterwards.
