Cabled last, and you would never know it.
Part of a larger residential project: the audio visual and automation of a party space in a beautiful house, covering a high-quality audio system, video distribution, and lighting and heating control.
We were brought into the project at the very last minute, and the room had been fully decorated before we had a chance to cable it. Between the way the space was built, where the speakers needed to go and the patience of the engineers, we cabled the entire system without damaging the delicate spray-finished walls and ceilings.
The real problem was consistent, high-quality sound across the whole space without disturbing the interior scheme. Working with Artcoustic we specified ten small surface-mounted speakers across the main space, a soundbar width-matched to the 77 inch LG Gallery series television, and three subwoofers hidden inside furniture.
Over fifty lighting circuits, three heating zones and a dedicated air conditioning zone were added to the house’s existing KNX system. Music runs on Sonos.
The room won Artcoustic’s Installation of the Month. The client has held a good many parties in it since, and it has yet to disappoint a guest.
