01 The proposition

Keypads engraved to your needs.

Instead of a bank of switches by every door, there are a handful of scenes: morning, cooking, dinner, evening, away. Each one sets every circuit in the room to a level that was chosen deliberately.

02 What's included

What lighting control includes.

Eight parts of the job, from the lighting design through to the engraving on the keypads.

Scene design

Levels chosen room by room, at the hour they will be used. Cooking, dining, evening and away, each one set on site rather than guessed at a desk.

Keypads and interfaces

Engraved keypads in finishes that match the ironmongery, placed where your hand already goes. An app as well, not instead.

Circadian and daylight tracking

Colour temperature that warms through the evening, and levels that respond to daylight, so the house feels right without anyone adjusting anything.

Architectural and cove lighting

Concealed linear lighting in coves, joinery and stairs, specified with the interior designer so the source stays hidden and the light does the work.

Exterior and garden lighting

Facade, tree and path lighting on astronomical timers, so the outside of the house looks considered at ten in the evening in December.

Retrofit or first fix

Wired control where the house is open and the routes exist, wireless where it is finished and the plaster is staying put.

Integration with blinds

Lighting and shading on the same scenes, so an evening scene closes the blinds and lifts the lamps in one press.

The right platform for the job

We are not tied to one manufacturer. Lutron, KNX, Basalte and Rako all do this well, and which one we specify depends on the size of the house, whether it is open or finished, and how you want to live in it. We will tell you which and why before anything is ordered.

04 Our process

Five stages, one team.

The same people survey the house, draw the system, install it and look after it afterwards. Nothing is subcontracted, and nothing is programmed by someone you have never met.

Stage 01

Consultation and survey

An hour or two at the property, looking at the rooms and listening to how you use them. We measure, photograph, and note what the building will and will not allow. No charge, and no obligation at the end of it.

Stage 02

Design and specification

Drawings, a schedule of equipment and a fixed price. Every position is marked, every cable route decided, and the specification is written so your architect, builder and electrician can all work from it.

Stage 03

Project management

We hold the programme alongside the other trades, from first fix to second. Across the Ribble Valley, Lancashire and Cheshire that usually means working around a builder who is already on site.

Stage 04

Installation and calibration

Our own engineers install, dress every cable, and then calibrate to the room rather than to a factory preset. Lighting control is set up in the space it lives in, at the time of day it will be used.

Stage 05

Handover and aftercare

A proper handover, documentation, and the same phone number afterwards. Remote monitoring catches most faults before you notice them, and the person who answers already knows your house.

05 Commercial & hospitality

Commercial lighting control for venues and offices.

A restaurant changes character four times a day and its lighting should change with it. Commercial lighting control gives a venue scene buttons behind the bar instead of a dimmer board nobody understands, with levels set by the designer and locked so they stay that way.

In retail and offices the case is usually daylight and energy: circadian schemes that track the sun, absence detection where rooms sit empty, and reporting that shows what the lighting actually costs to run. We install Lutron and KNX for both.

Lighting control, honestly answered.

For a whole house, yes. Processor-based systems dim more smoothly, keep working when the internet does not, and are still supported in fifteen years. For one or two rooms, a cheaper wireless system is a perfectly honest answer.

Yes, with wireless dimmers that sit behind the existing switch plates. It costs more per circuit than a wired panel and slightly less can be grouped, but the plaster stays where it is.

Every keypad still works as a local switch, and panels hold their programming locally rather than in a cloud account. If a module does fail, we swap it and the scenes come back exactly as they were.

Some will and some will not. We check drivers and dimming curves against the control system before anything is ordered, because the cheapest way to fix flicker is not to buy it.
