Twenty minutes down the A59 from the workshop. Preston is the closest city to us, and a good share of our work sits in Fulwood, Penwortham and the villages either side of the M55.

Preston housing splits cleanly. Fulwood and Penwortham are full of large Victorian and Edwardian villas with lath and plaster, generous voids and a chimney breast in every room. Broughton, Barton and Woodplumpton are mostly newer, with plasterboard, a warm loft and cable routes that are simple if we get there before the plasterer.
It is the tightest patch we work in for cars. A first-fix visit is a morning, not a day, and a support call is usually the same day. That matters most on renovation work, where the answer to a containment question changes what the joiner does that afternoon.
Plenty of Preston projects start as one room and grow. A cinema in the loft, then audio in the kitchen the following year, then heating and blinds when the extension goes in. We wire the first job so the second one is a change of software rather than a change of walls.
